Her doctoral research focuses on competition law enforcement mechanisms in regulated sectors of the economy, within a comparative context (with European Union legislation).

Webinar Synopsis

The accession journey of Georgia, Ukraine, and Moldova toward the European Union (EU) marks a crucial phase for economic growth underpinned by the Association Agreements. These agreements have fostered cooperation and driven the formation of robust competition laws. However, in the context of digital transformation, relying solely on traditional competition policies may be insufficient. Against this backdrop the critical questions remain:

  •  How have “comprehensive competition laws” evolved in the last eight years, and are they still sufficient for EU accession
  •  Should the EU prioritize digital market competition enforcement as part of the accession process for EaP countries?

This webinar is dedicated to examining these questions, based on a review of the existing competition framework provisions between the European Union and Eastern European countries, with the special focus on Georgia.
